BED BUG FACTS

• They hide in cracks and crevices and come out during night
• They can be found anywhere in bed mattresses, mattress buttons, pillows, bed frames, head board etc.
• They can be introduced into a structure via furniture, clothing's and other things carrying bed bugs or their eggs.
• Through transportation vehicles like bus, taxi etc also migration possible

MONITORING & DETECTION

• Presence of live ones
• Black fecal spots, blood spots etc
• Eggs and egg cases
• Colorless to lightly colored shed skins
• Checking and monitoring should be done in bedroom cabinets, baseboards, carpets, wall hangings and other wood or fabric based materials

PREVENTION

• Check the luggage's and clothes after each travel
• If any signs of infestation , wash immediately in hot settings.
• Keep clutter down in the dwellings
• If any cracks or crevices on the walls, mattresses etc, seal them properly.
• If any signs of infestation prevails in your dwelling, immediately contact the pest control contractor.
